Performance
Electric fence systems works on the primarily on the principal of a psychological barrier. The harder a fence "shocks" an animal the more effective the psychological barrier.
ELECTROPLUS GOLD conductors interconnect 6 times per inch.the most contact points of any braided electric fence.
ELECTROPLUS features metallic coated Copper. A common fact is "Copper is the most conductive metal next to Gold, Silver and Platinum".
ELECTROPLUS GOLD has 16 Copper wires that are .010" or 30 guage, which in total is equal to a single strand of 18 guage wire with a resistance of 39.65 ohms/mile
We did a field test using.
- 1 Mile of fence - single strand - ELECTROPLUS GOLD
- Cyclops energizer with an output rating of 1 joule
- We induced a load equal to 100 ohms at the one mile mark.this simulated heavy growth around the fence or an animal touching the fence
We were in search of ...how much energy, expressed in joules, would register at the one mile mark on a single strand fence when the resistance of 100 ohms was introduced. In other words, what shock value is delivered to an animal if they touch this single strand fence at the one mile mark?
ELECTROPLUS GOLD - Started with a joule rating of 1 and at the one mile mark had a joule rating of 0.714. We tested other leading braided fence products and the closest competitor was 0.597 joules.a difference of 19.59%...significant!
